THE KITCHEN

Porthminster Kitchen is the second restaurant from the team behind Porthminster Beach Café – an award-winning restaurant with an enviable reputation for serving the best Cornish seafood in an amazing setting right on one of St Ives’ most beautiful beaches. Our location offers an alternative dining destination above the hustle and bustle of the town’s harbour, combining the same high standards with a fresh approach and an equally awe-inspiring view.

Watch fishing boats return with their catch and admire a vista which has inspired many generations of artists, including Anthony Frost whose work adorns the walls.

The restaurant is bathed in the famous light of St Ives, combining simplicity and clean lines with a modern urban feel; rustic wood flooring, stainless steel, industrial lighting and stark white tiles are complimented by huge windows and mirrors.

Executive Chef Michael Smith along with Head Chef Paul Oliver, have added a refreshing Asian and Mediterranean twist to Cornish seafood, creating a style of cooking which has now been immortalised in Porthminster Beach Café – The Cookbook.
